Gloria Lee, “Floral Splendor”

Collectors with Gloria LeeECG was host to an exciting downtown show on the weekend of September 21-23!
Artist Gloria Lee has a long history as a working artist, but this was her very first show with Exclusive Collections Gallery. Lee has been developing her Floral Splendor Series very recently, building off of her extensive knowledge of art history.

One art collector described her work “as if Claude Monet, Vincent Van Gogh, Georgia O’Keefe, and Jackson Pollock had a dinner party and decided to create a painting together.”

Hand-Embellished Joyful Morning

Visitors enjoyed refreshments and custom-made floral arrangements by a local San Diego florist that mimicked the original artwork displayed throughout the gallery. Created just for the occasion, Exclusive Collections was proud to offer a hand-embellished gift print: a miniature open edition of Joyful Morning. Gloria Lee gladly demonstrated her ability to embellish these works on such a small scale; it was quite a challenging feat based upon the typical level of texture found in her original art.

Gloria Lee is represented by Crown Thorn Publishing and is shown solely at Exclusive Collections Fine Art Galleries. Her artwork joins the ranks of other artists published by Crown Thorn to include Henry Asencio, Michael Flohr, Christopher M., Michael Summers, and Daniel Ryan. Lee’s particular style, loose in form and free with color and texture, brings something entirely new to the publisher’s portfolio. Her works in particular speak to those who appreciate the influence of modern art and yet enjoy the art purely in and of itself.
